in 2020, we continued to create our vision.

Despite the unique challenges of 2020, Altoona continued to grow and flourish. The year saw a climb to 20,000 residents, a 37.5% INCREASE since 2010. Also, the City issued 223 new single-family residential building permits valued at $53,573,855.

Even amid the challenges of the pandemic, Altoona continued to welcome new businesses, families and developers to Iowa's Rising Star. Now, with our community positioned for further growth, the future looks brighter than ever.
