Past Work
Work on the 8th St SW and 36th Ave SW intersection was scheduled for completion Saturday morning September 5th. The traffic signal pole extensions were installed. These will be used when traffic runs head to head in the north two lanes.
In Progress
On Tuesday, September 8th, traffic was switched to head-to-head traffic in the two north lanes of 8th Ave SW. This will allow for the work to begin in the south two lanes beginning with the concrete removal.
Contractors will also begin constructing the new storm sewer that will be installed in the existing south ditch along 8th St SW.
Over the next few weeks, the intersection of 8th St SW and 34th Ave SW will have patch work similar to the 36th Ave intersection.
Completion Date Stage 1 (between Hwy 65 to 34th Ave): November 20, 2020
Final Project Completion Date: December 2021
