Facebook announces fourth expansion to Altoona Data Center

Just over a year ago, we announced our plans to expand the Altoona Data Center to three buildings. In that announcement, we spoke about the city of Altoona, state of Iowa, construction partners, and our employees all working at historic speeds and helping us scale. Today, it’s because of these partners and our employees that we can once again share our plans to build out our data center even further. But this time, with a cold storage facility. Outlets of Des Moines Takes Shape as Steel Erection Work Begins

The Des Moines region’s first outlet mall is now clearly visible from Interstate 80 and Highway 65 as construction crews erect steel at Outlets of Des Moines a New England Development project. The construction at Outlets of Des Moines will support approximately 500 jobs. Crews are approximately halfway through pouring foundations for the center’s nine buildings, and steel erection for two of the buildings is underway.  Continue reading…

Full Swing Construction Begins at Outlets of Des Moines

October 2017 Grand Opening Planned

New England Development announced today that construction work will be in full swing this month on the Outlets of Des Moines property in Altoona, Iowa. Opening in October 2017, Outlets of Des Moines will feature some of the best brand names in retail. The 300,000 sf outlet center will be located at 801 Bass Pro Drive NW at the intersection of I-80 and US-65, an established destination for entertainment and shopping.   Continue reading…


Spectators Sports Bar and Grill
Opens April 11

Spectators Sports Bar and Grill has announced its grand opening celebration will be held on April 11. The venue, which seats approximately 300 guests, has over 100 viewing screens including a 220″ projection screen on the main wall, a live feed sports ticker and has every sports package offered by DirecTV requiring over five and a half miles of audio-video cabling. General Manager, Lisa Battani, says, “The Spectator’s experience is one that transports our guests to their favorite live sporting event full of fun and excitement.” Todd Chapman, President of Satellite Center, describes Spectators as, “by far the most advanced system ever deployed in Des Moines for a sports bar.” Continue reading…
